The transport strike led by the Manibela group on the first day of their three-day protest in the Punta area, Sta. Ana, Manila, was carried out smoothly and quietly, according to the Manila Police District.

The transport strike is part of their ongoing advocacy concerning issues within the transportation sector.

Despite the strike, other jeepneys continued to operate in the area, and there were no reports of stranded passengers.

The operations of other public utility vehicles in the vicinity remained normal, with no major disruptions.

Meanwhile, the MPD implemented security measures in Mendiola, Manila by setting up barricades and barbed wire to prevent any possible protest activities in the area.

The group continues to strengthen its calls for their demands, but as of the first day, the transport strike has been orderly, with minimal impact on traffic and public transportation in the area.
