Kuh Ledesma celebrates 70th birthday with concert on March 29

Yes! Pop diva celebrated her 70th birthday last March 16, and she is set to celebrate with everyone on March 29 in a special dinner concert at Hacienda Isabella titled "My KuhL 17th Birthday Show" with guest artist Mitch Valdez, a very talented and funny person.

Ladies and gentlemen, believe it or not — Kuh is 70. Seventy! That’s seven decades, 13 presidents and more than a thousand concerts.

And still - Kuh is radiant, vibrant, and glamorous! She is very much a diva with a voice that still captivates audiences of different ages, and people whisper in awe and some in disbelief, “ha ??? 70 na yan ???? I'm sure nag paretoke yan !" or "Is she a vampire or something? And the best is "akala ko in her late 50s lang siya."

She’s been in the business for 45 plus years — and that’s looong! And while many artists take a back seat by this point, Kuh is still out here, headlining shows, directing productions, mentoring younger artists, establishing venues, doing ministries, fighting for what is right and proper, and giving back to the community. Whew! And reminding all of us that age is just a number.

And if you think that’s enough activity for someone at 70, think again - Kuh is a superwoman. She’s running Hacienda Isabella, working on two new albums, continuing her ministry work, and planning her 45-plus-year anniversary.

So yes, “My KuhL 17th Birthday Show" is a party! It's a fabulous inside joke, a once-in-a-lifetime celebration. Actually, it is inspiring. It's a reminder that legends don’t age—they evolve, and they do things with even more grace and panache. And with Kuh, she is not done yet—not even close.
