Police Major Rolando Araño, IPPO spokesperson, said Christopher is not in any of their list of drug personalities.
“We also don’t know as to the extent of his involvement or his role. Was he only the drug courier? Or was he also part of the drug distribution?” Araño said.
Christopher is originally from Oton, Iloilo but has not lived in the town for over 10 years when their family home was destroyed by a fire. He relocated to Pavia town and worked as a truck driver.
The ICPO is determining if the contraband was really intended for distribution here.
Police Major Shella Mae Sangrines, ICPO spokesperson, said that this is yet to be determined. “But take note, Iloilo City has always been a transshipment point because of its location,” Sangrines said.
Police Lt. Col. Lindley Barrientos, acting city police chief, has directed intelligence and drug enforcement units to find more information on the possible link of Christopher to illegal drug activities.
