Like a man courting a woman, the three nominees of FPJ Panday Bayanihan Party-list made their intentions clear to voters during their grand rally in Malvar, Batangas last Saturday, March 22.

The three nominees of the party-list--which has been doing well in surveys--are Brian Poe, son of Senator Grace Poe; Mark Patron, a local leader with a strong commitment to public service; and Hiyas Dolor, wife of Oriental Mindoro Governor Humerlito “Bonz” Dolor.

In his message to the crowd, 1st nominee Poe said FPJ Panday Bayanihan had been assisting Filipinos even when it wasn't a party-list yet.

The aspiring congressman highlighted the assistance extended by the FPJ Panday Bayanihan during the pandemic, when they managed to help thousands of Filipinos. He siad they continue to actively support the community through private efforts.

“Bakit natin ginagawa ang lahat ng ito? Dahil bilang apo ni FPJ, sa sarili kong paraan, gusto ko sana ituloy ang legasiya ni FPJ, ang serbisyo ng pamilyang Poe (Why are we doing this? As the grandson of FPJ, in my own way, I wish to continue the legacy of FPJ, the Poe family style of service),” Poe said.

Poe was referring to National Artist Fernando Poe Jr. (FPJ), known as "Da King", or The King of Philippine Cinema.

Patron, the party-list's 2nd nominee, echoed Poe's remarks as addressed his fellow Batangueños.

“Kami po bilang FPJ Panday Bayanihan Party-list ay magpapatuloy ng laban ni FPJ. Sisiguraduhin po namin na magkakaroon ng pagkain sa bawat hapag-kainan, tuloy-tuloy ang progreso ng ating bayan, at syempre, magkakaroon at naiimplementa ang hustisya,” said Patron.

(We from FPJ Panday Bayanihan Party-list will continue FPJ's fight. We will make sure that each table would have food, that progress would continue, and that justice would prevail.)

Dolor, the 3rd nominee, expressed her gratitude to the Batangas crowd for their warm welcome and support.

“Kailangan na kailangan po ng FPJ Panday Bayanihan ang suporta ng bawat Batangueño. Alam niyo po, kapag nagtutulungan tayo, tagumpay po talaga. Ang tagumpay ng FPJ Panday Bayanihan ay tagumpay ng bansang Pilipinas!" she declared.

(FPJ Panday Bayanihan needs the support of every Batangueño. You know, our unity will translate to our success. FPJ Panday Bayanihan's success is the success of the country.)

Senator Poe also graced the FPJ Panday Bayanihan's grand rally.
