On March 13, the Embassy of Malaysia in Manila cooked up a storm in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan for its Bubur Lambuk program.

Bubur Lambuk is a traditional porridge dish popular during the fasting month of Ramadan in Malaysia. It is commonly made with rice, meat, spices, and various vegetables. Chicken, beef, or lamb maybe also be added to the dish, depending on personal preference. It is often shared with family and friends, reflecting the true spirit of Ramadan – the spirit of giving.

Now on its third year, the Bubur Lambuk program is part and parcel of the Embassy’s efforts to introduce Malaysian culture, customs and traditions to the country. This year’s Bubur Lambuk was prepared by the Embassy's chef, Ammar Syafiq Ayob, together with the staff and spouses of the Embassy, at the ambassador’s official residence. It was shared with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., cabinet secretaries, senior government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and friends of Malaysia.

The Ambassador Dato' Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino of the Embassy of Malaysia hopes to continue the Bubur Lambuk program in the years to come as part of the Embassy’s initiatives to promote cultural exchange between Malaysia and the Philippines.

The Embassy of Malaysia is dedicated to promoting cultural exchange and strengthening diplomatic relations between Malaysia and the host country. Through various initiatives and events, the embassy strive to foster mutual understanding and respect between different cultures.
