Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar has ordered the city's Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) to prepare for the possible deployment of “libreng sakay” (free rides) due to the transport strike set to be staged by transport group Manibela from Monday, March 24, to Wednesday, March 26.

Aguilar said the vehicles to be deployed will include two buses, one government truck, and four utility vans to help ferry stranded passengers.

She added that additional personnel from the Parking Traffic and Management Office (TPMO) will be deployed to ensure the safety of passengers and jeepney drivers who will not be joining the transport strike.

The mayor said the vehicles will be deployed across the city.

Aguilar said the areas with the most affected passengers during the transport strike are Alabang in Muntinlupa to Baclaran in Parañaque City and Cavite to Moonwalk in Las Piñas.
