Cavite PNP on alert, conducts ‘libreng sakay’ amid 3-day transport strike


The Cavite Provincial Police Office (PPO) said it is on alert during the three-day nationwide transport strike from March 24 to 26.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, March 23, the Cavite PPO stated that it would deploy 23 vehicles with a total seating capacity of 218 to assist commuters affected by the transport protest.

Municipal and component city police stations will facilitate back-and-forth transport along key routes in their coverage areas.

Several educational institutions in Cavite, meanwhile, have announced the shift to online synchronous or asynchronous classes in line with the transport strike, including the Cavite State University System and De La Salle University-Dasmariñas.
