Fil-American sprinter Kristina Knott failed to advance to the women’s 60-meter semifinals after finishing sixth in her heats at the 2025 World Indoor Athletics Championships in Nanjing, China on Saturday, March 22.

The 29-year-old national record holder clocked 7.42 seconds to finish behind Antigua’s Joella Lloyd (7.21sec), Great Britain’s Amy Hunt (7.26sec) and Sweden’s Julia Henriksson (7.31sec) -- who all advanced in their group.
Italy’s Zaynab Dosso led the 24 qualifiers with a time of 7.09sec, followed by Poland’s Ewa Swoboda (7.16sec) and China’s Liang Xiaojing (7.17sec).
Knott’s performance was slower than her season-best 7.32sec she posted at the Don Kirby Invitational in Albuquerque, United States last February, as well as her own national mark of 7.26sec she established at the American Track League also in the United States in 2021.
Had she tied or surpassed her PH record, she could have earned a spot into the next round as it was faster than the time of the last qualifier Henriksson.
It was Knott’s first world indoors appearance since last qualifying in the 2022 edition held in Belgrade, Serbia, where she finished eighth in the heats and also failed to advance in the same event.
