As part of the institution’s 125th Founding Anniversary, National University conducted its second Founder's Cup Golf Tournament at the Tagaytay Midlands Golf Club Friday, March 21.
NU established the Founder’s Cup as an annual tradition, uniting distinguished alumni, employees, partners and benefactors for a shared purpose of supporting Nationalian scholars while uplifting sports culture.
This fundraising event, in partnership with BOYSEN, Egghead Systems and Networks, Inc. and adidas, fostered a dynamic community of support for NU scholars to access quality education, further reflecting NU’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and social responsibility.
“I am thankful that you joined us today. It is a time to celebrate because this activity is a reunion of different people advocating for the same cause.” NU President and CEO, Dr. Renato Carlos H. Ermita, Jr. shared as he emphasized the importance of this event.
Leading the ceremonial tee-off were NU Chairman of the Board, Dr. Hans T. Sy, NU President and CEO, Dr. Ermita, institutional partner — BOYSEN Philippines Vice President Justin Ongsue and NU Alumni, Col. Reynaldo Bajet (Retired). Other notable attendees were showbiz personality Richard Yap, former PBA player Atoy Co, and NU alumni athletes, the Yu brothers.
This is the second major event for the institution’s year-long celebration following the Bulldogs Run last February.
