Lacson said it is alright to express sentiments but there is really a need to calm down.

He suggested holding prayers vigils. “If you believe in prayers, I truly suggest holding prayer vigils because a divided country will not be good for any of us.”

Lacson acknowledged the public’s reaction from the Duterte’s arrest but refused to comment if he was rightfully or wrongfully arrested. “I won’t say whether it was right or wrong because I’m not a lawyer,” the governor said.

He said that he is among millions of Filipinos following developments about Duterte.

He said that the national issue might affect the economy.  Divisiveness in any country is not good, especially for potential investors, as they might stay on the sidelines and wait for better conditions, Lacson said.

“But we’re not there yet. I don’t think we’ve reached that level,” he said, adding that investor’s trust is still very high. “Let’s keep it that way and heed the former President’s call to stay calm,” Lacson said.
