Three people were killed in an ambush staged by three car-riding armed men in Barangay Capihan, San Rafael, Bulacan, on Friday afternoon, March 21.

Two of the victims identified as Bryan Ariola Villaflor, a resident of San Ildefonso, Bulacan, and a certain "Jay" died on the spot while the other unidentified fatality was declared dead on arrival in a hospital. They sustained multiple bullets wounds.
According to the initial report of Police Regional Office 3, the victims were inside a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) traveling along Maharlika Highway when a black SUV chased them and blocked their path.
The black SUV riders fired shots at the victims' car with an automatic rifle.
The gunmen's vehicle immediately fled towards San Ildefonso after the shooting.
Probers said the front glass and the rear glass of the victims' car were riddled with bullets. About 25 bullet shells believed from caliber 5.56 firearm were recovered at the crime scene.
As of this writing, police were still establishing the identities of the suspects and the motive behind the ambush.
Authorities launched a manhunt against the suspects.
