Tamayo waxed hot behind the arc by firing six triples out of 10 attempts to steer the Sakers particularly in the third quarter, where they seized a 20-point lead, 65-45, en route to the win.

The Gilas Pilipinas standout finished with 32 points on top of six rebounds, five assists, and one steal for Changwon, which also drew strength from Assem Marei, who exploded with a triple-double effort of 15 points, 14 rebounds, and 12 assists.

It was a sort of bounce back game for Tamayo after being held scoreless in their 90-62 loss to the Suwon KT Sonicboom. He also posted his sixth double-digit performance.

Fil-American Ethan Alvano, for his part, tallied 13 points, two rebounds, three assists and three steals in a losing cause for Wonju.

The Sakers hiked their tally to 29-17 at second while the Promy dropped to sixth with 20-27.

Meanwhile, Kevin Quiambao and the Goyang Sono Skygunners leaned on their second half assault to turn back SJ Belangel and the Daegu KOGAS Pegasus, 90-85.

The win snapped the Skygunners’ five-game losing skid and improved to 15-31, with Quiambao scattering 12 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Belangel, for his part, had six points for Pegasus, which fell to 24-23.
