House Speaker Martin Romualdez vowed on Friday, March 21 that the local real estate industry won't get left behind by Congress.

In his message during the 25th Anniversary Gala of RE/MAX Philippines at the Grand Ballroom of Shangri-La The Fort Hotel in Bonifacio Global City, Romualdez underscored the sector’s contribution to stability, progress, and opportunity for Filipino families.

“As Speaker of the House of Representatives, I fully recognize the vital role that real estate plays in our economy,” said the leader of the 306-strong House of Representatives.

“That is why we in Congress continue to support policies that foster a strong, competitive, and sustainable real estate sector—ensuring that businesses like RE/MAX thrive and that homeownership remains an achievable dream for many Filipinos.”

Romualdez says the celebration of the 25th anniversary of RE/MAX is a remarkable milestone that reflects not only longevity but also a legacy of excellence and leadership in the real estate industry.

“For a quarter of a century, RE/MAX has set the benchmark for professionalism, integrity, and success in real estate. Your unwavering commitment to service has helped countless Filipinos find homes, build businesses, and make sound investments—contributing significantly to economic growth and nation-building," he said.

The Speaker also congratulated RE/MAX Philippines for its outstanding achievements on the global stage as he commended Eddie Santos, Jun Camcam, and Marissa Garcia who were named among the top global brokers in the recent RE/MAX R4 2025 Convention in Las Vegas.

“Out of 140,000 real estate agents globally, you have emerged as leaders—not just for RE/MAX, but for the entire Philippine real estate industry. Your achievements inspire others to strive for greater heights, proving once again that Filipino professionals are among the best in the world,” the House leader said.

Romualdez concluded his message with a call to action for industry professionals to continue shaping the country’s real estate landscape.

“May you continue to be a driving force in shaping the future of real estate in our country,” he said.
