ZAMBOANGA CITY – It is business as usual at Dakak Resort in Dapitan City in Zamboanga del Norte in spite of a Supreme Court ruling ordering Dakak Beach Resort Corp. and former Rep. Romeo G. Jalosjos to vacate a lot within the resort and turn it over to the owner.

“Rest assured, Dakak Beach Resort is fully operational and ready to welcome you,” resort management said in a statement on social media.

It said that the ruling involves only 1,602-square meters of the entire resort. The lot, it said, is a “tiny portion of our vast 156-hectare paradise.” The affected portion is said to be one percent of the total resort area.

The resort also said that management received the order last February and they have filed a motion for reconsideration.

They are awaiting the final decision, the resot said.
