Trailing by 20 points in the second quarter, the Knights solved the riddle in the next two frames, especially in the payoff period where they outscored the Sonicboom off a 15-13 run to steal the match.

In the battle of two former University of the Philippines floor generals in de Liaño and JD Cagulangan, the former emerged victorious after listing a 12-point, two-rebound, two-assist, and one-steal output.

It was a stellar outing from de Liaño after being sidelined in their last two games.

Jameel Warney posted a double-double performance of 24 points and 12 rebounds on top of two assists, one steal and one block for the Knights, who improved their record to 38-9.

On the other hand, Cagulangan finished with 10 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, four steals and one block in almost 36 minutes of action.

Those numbers, along with the productions of Heo Hoon (21), Han Yu-Gi (18), and Rayshaun Hammonds (11), were not enough as Suwon suffered its 19th defeat against 27 victories at fourth spot.
