CEBU CITY – Police arrested 62 drug personalities in Central Visayas on Tuesday, March 18.

The Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO-7) reported that suspected shabu valued at P1.8 million was also seized.
Police Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan, chief of PRO-7, said the number of arrests in a single day showed the seriousness in the campaign against illegal drugs.
"Our commitment to a drug-free region remains stronger than ever. The PNP will continue to take decisive action against illegal drugs and bring those involved to justice. These recent arrests and drug seizures are a testament to our relentless efforts in safeguarding our communities and ensuring a safer future for all,” said Maranan.
Maranan assured that the intensified campaign against illegal drugs will continue in close coordination with local government units.
He also stressed the importance of the cooperation of the public in the fight against illegal drugs.
