Parañaque LGU suspends F2F classes due to high heat index

Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez ordered the suspension of face-to-face (F2F) classes in all levels, both in public and private schools in the city on Monday, March 3, due to the high heat index forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

PAGASA had said that the heat index forecast is expected to reach 46 degrees Celsius.

 

The mayor advised all schools to conduct instead online classes/asynchronous classes as alternative learning modality.

 

Olivarez also advised residents to drink plenty of water and to stay indoors.
