Two youths, 14 and 18 years old, robbed a Catholic church in Muntinlupa on March 1, taking about P50,000 in cash donations and two cell phones.
According to the Muntinlupa police, the robbery occurred at about 9 p.m. on March 1, a holiday in the city, in the Parish Office of the St. Peregrine Laziosi Parish on National Road, Barangay Tunasan.

It was discovered by a church cashier at 4:30 a.m. on March 2 and was reported by a security guard to the Muntinlupa police.
The security guard discovered that the padlock of the main door of the Parish Office was destroyed. He also saw that the padlock of the donation box containing the money was also destroyed.
An inventory by the church revealed that the money and two cell phones were missing.
A review of the CCTV footage showed that two youths were responsible for the robbery–one wearing a black long sleeves and a face mask while the other was wearing black long sleeves with a hood.
A manhunt operation by the Muntinlupa police resulted in the arrest of the two suspects in Soldiers’ Hills Village in Barangay Putatan. The P50,000 was also recovered.
