With the score tied at 67-all and Goyang’s big man Alan Williams getting hurt in the fourth quarter, the Pegasus took advantage and leaned on Nicholson and Belangel's attack that resulted in a 16-5 blitz and made it a 83-72 advantage for Daegu.
Nicholson finished with 20 points and nine rebounds while Belangel scattered 19 points, two rebounds, eight assists and two steals. Kim Nak-Hyeon and Shin Sheung-Min added 19 and 17 points, respectively.
Quiambao, who tried to save Goyang in the endgame, posted 17 points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals while Williams also had 17 points despite being sidelined with seven and a half minutes left in the game.
Despite the loss, the two-time UAAP MVP recorded his ninth straight game with double figures in scoring.
The Pegasus improved their card to 22-18 at fifth place while the Skygunners had a 14-27 slate at ninth.
Meanwhile, the Suwon KT Sonicboom held off the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus, 62-56, to clinch their third straight triumph.
JD Cagulangan put up a quiet statline of three points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals for the Sonicboom.
Suwon hiked its card to 24-17 at fourth behind Ulsan, which has a 24-16 record.
