Glenn Khobuntin shrugged off the verbal altercation with TNT teammate JP Erram during the Tropang Giga’s 103-98 loss to the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in Game 3 of their PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup semifinals series.

The teammates got into a heated exchange in front of the TNT bench as Khobuntin tried to pacify Erram who was assessed a technical foul with only 18 seconds left in the first half.
“Wala naman kasi high emotion, and pangit ng laro namin. Friendly fire lang naman yon tagal ko nang kilala si Poy,” Khobuntin told the reporters after the game =.
The Tropang Giga center was hot under the collar and continuously complaining to the referees over what he deemed a non-call on the play prior.
That prompted Khobuntin to try and restrain Erram, who in turn directed his frustrations on his teammate and shoved Khobuntin’s arms.
“Sabi ko lang kasi baka madalawang technical pa e sobrang importante siya sa game,” Khobuntin said of the incident.
Although he admitted to being surprised with Erram’s actions, Khobuntin understood the emotions of his big man and quickly put the spat behind.
“Hindi siya natatawagan ng foul. Iyon yung feeling niya, so masyado na yung tawag sa kanya tapos di pa napapansin iyon, so siyempre halu-halo na yung emosyon nya. ‘Yun lang naman siguro,” said Khobuntin.
“Medyo (nagulat) pero at least yun lang naman. Tao lang rin naman din tayo. Kailangang kontrolin din ‘yung emosyon kasi in the middle of the game eh sayang naman dikit din eh,” he added.
Khobuntin and Erram were shown on broadcast talking to each other after the incident and seemed to have already patched things up.
“Wala na yon. Parehas kami bisaya non so language lang naman namin yung pinag sasabi namin,” he added with a smile.
