Kapuso actress Gabbi Garcia experienced a full-circle moment as she was introduced as one of the hosts of the Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition, joining Bianca Gonzalez, Robi Domingo, and others.

During the grand media conference at the Dolphy Theater in ABS-CBN on March 1, Gabbi shared her experience auditioning for a well-known reality show.

"I auditioned for PBB Teens Season 4, so ang nangyari noon. I've been a big fan of PBB and I grew up watching it to the point na nagpapalaam ako sa parent ko if I can extend to watch the whole episode. So when they announced it on the TV na pwede mag audition kaya niyaya ko na yung mommy ko. (I auditioned for PBB Teens Season 4, and I have been a fan of the show for as long as I can remember. I grew up watching it and was so invested that I would ask my parents if I could stay up to watch the entire episode. When they announced on TV that auditions were open, I immediately went to my mom to express my interest)," Gabbi said.

Gabbi stated that she was one of the 5,000 auditionees waiting in line for a chance to enter the PBB house.

"So I lined up, it was 5,000 auditionees, and I was number 3,900 something. I was there from 9 a.m. to 5 a.m. the next day. Ganun siya intense. I had to go to school the next day, kaya pinapagalitan na ako ng mommy ko. (I lined up with 5,000 auditionees, and I was number 3,900 something. I was there from 9 a.m. to 5 a.m. the next day. It was such an intense experience, and I had to go to school the following day. My mom was really upset about it)," Gabbi said.

Despite her struggles, Gabbi advanced past the first audition screening, but unfortunately, she was not called for the second part.

"I was really eager to join and, as a kid, I was so curious to see what was happening inside the house. Fortunately, I got accepted during the first screening. However, for the second screening, it took place inside Kuya's house, and unfortunately, I wasn't able to get in after that. Although Gabbi did not enter the Big Brother house, she expresses her happiness and humility in being one of the show's hosts.

"Today marks a significant full-circle moment for me. I auditioned many years ago, and now I stand before you as a host. I am humbled and grateful for this opportunity," Gabbi said.

Groundbreaking collaboration

The iconic Pinoy Big Brother House is opening its doors to its new home on GMA Network. This special edition promises a season filled with exciting surprises as PBB celebrates its 20th anniversary.

As part of celebrating the 20th year of the famous PBB House, Star Magic Head Lauren Dyogi, shared during the event what made them decide to have a collaboration with GMA.

"The decision came because of the previous collaboration with GMA from Unbreak My Heart to It's Showtime. Napapagusapan na ano pa yung pwedeng possibilities, so nung nabanggit yung PBB because it will bring together artists from two groups Sparkle and Star Magic. (The decision was made following the previous collaboration with GMA on projects like 'Unbreak My Heart' and 'It's Showtime.' Discussions explored additional opportunities, and when "PBB" was mentioned, it was noted that it would bring together artists from two groups: Sparkle and Star Magic.)

"Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition" will premiere on GMA Network on March 9.  

Aside from Gabbi, Mavy Legaspi will also join the show with Kim Chiu, Enchong Dee, Melai Cantiveros-Francisco, and Alexa Ilacad.

Together, they will guide audiences through the biggest and most star-studded PBB season yet.

For the first time ever, stars from both Sparkle and Star Magic will enter the Pinoy Big Brother house. Will they be able to strengthen their bond as they face this season's new tasks?
