60K Batangueños express support for administration senatorial bets
More than 60,000 constituents of Batangas have expressed their support for the senatorial candidates of the Marcos administration.

Senator Loren Legarda’s son, Leandro Legarda Leviste, who is running as representative of the First District of Batangas, led the public gathering which ran from February 28 to March 1, 2025.
Among those who attended the district gathering included Senators Imee Marcos, Manuel “Lito” Lapid, Francis Tolentino, Rep. Lani Mercado-Revilla (who represented Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., former Senators Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, Manny Pacquiao and Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan.
The program was held simultaneously in the municipalities of Nasugbu, Balayan, Taal, together with constituents from Lian, Calatagan, Tuy, Lemery and Calaca, tackling major issues facing their communities.
As the youngest billionaire entrepreneur in the country, Leviste emphasized the importance of the national government's support for programs and projects for the towns of the First District of Batangas.
Leviste urged the candidates to focus on strengthening infrastructure, growing the economy, and expanding livelihood opportunities.
“In the past decades, the development of other districts was faster due to the help of the national government. Our district deserves to be a priority, and I believe that in the coming years, the towns of the First District will become some of the most prosperous towns in Batangas,” Leviste said in his speech.
Legarda, a four-term senator, said she is happy to see the commitment of the senatorial candidates and local officials in the goal of developing the First District of Batangas.
"This kind of unity shows that when the national and local governments work together, programs that help our countrymen are more effectively implemented,” Legarda also said during the event.
“The First District of Batangas has great potential, so our continued support for their development is important," said Legarda.
