Over P348,000 shabu seized from drug peddler in Pasay cemetery

A man tagged as the source of illegal drugs inside a public cemetery was arrested by members of the Pasay City Police Station Intelligence Section (SIS) during a buy-bust operation on March 18.

Pasay City Police chief Col. Joselito De Sesto identified the suspect as alias "Herdhy," 27, a helper.

He was arrested at around 11:00 p.m. inside the Pasay City Public Cemetery in Barangay 148, Zone 16, Pasay City.

The police said the SIS operatives conducted an entrapment operation after receiving information that he was the source of shabu of drug users inside the cemetery.

The SIS operatives confiscated from Herdhy 51.3 grams of shabu worth P348,840 during the operation.

The suspect was brought to the SIS office for documentation and turned over to Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) for detention.

Herdhy was charged for violation of Section 11, Article II of R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
