Man's body discovered in shallow grave

LOBO, Batangas – The body of a man was found buried in a shallow grave in Sitio Malagundi, Barangay Balibago, this town, on Tuesday afternoon, March 18.

Police said a farmer gathering goat  feed discovered the body lying and slightly covered with soil.

He reported this to a former barangay official who informed the police of the discovery.

The Lobo Municipal Police Station has requested the assistance of the Scene-of-the-Crime Operatives for the processing of the body and autopsy for the identification of the victim.

Meanwhile, human body parts were dumped on the Marilaque Highway, Barangay Laurel, Santa Maria, Laguna on Tuesday afternoon.

These were a human foot and a part of a leg wrapped in a garbage bag.

A passing motorcycle rider discovered the decomposing body parts due to foul odor and reported these to authorities.

Police retrieved the body parts and taken to a funeral home. Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
