CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Four individuals were arrested for selling a fake gold bar in a buy-bust operation in Sitio Pidpid, Barangay Manuali, Porac, Pampanga on March 16.

The Police Regional Office-3 identified the suspects as Eva, Dex, Arjay, and Ted.
The suspects suddenly fired at arresting officers but were subdued.
Recovered from them were a fake gold bar, boodle money, a gun with fired cartridge casing and bullets, improvised shotgun with fired shot shell and live shells, a fragmentation grenade, a jungle bolo, and three motorcycles.
A follow-up investigation showed that one of the suspects was allegedly involved in a fatal stabbing incident on March 11 in Porac.
The victim, Edgar, 55, was stabbed for allegedly refusing to pay for undelivered gold.
The suspects face cases for estafa (swindling), attempted murder, illegal possession of firearms and explosives, and the Omnibus Election Code.
Police Brig. Gen. Jean S. Fajardo, PRO-3 chief, commended operating units for their achievements.
