CAVITE – A man was stabbed after attempting to break up a fight between his male co-worker and live-in partner in Alfonso early Tuesday morning, March 18.
A report from the Police Regional Office 4A indicated that the victim, identified as alias Jerome, and the suspect, identified as alias Bernie, are fellow employees at a construction company.
Initial investigation by the Alfonso Municipal Police Station (MPS) said the victim and the suspect came from a drinking session in Magallanes.
Upon returning to their barracks in Alfonso, alias Bernie got into a heated argument with his common-law wife and reportedly hurt her physically.
Alias Jerome intervened to prevent the suspect from further assaulting the woman, but alias Bernie purportedly stabbed his co-worker twice in the stomach area.
Alias Jerome was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
Alias Bernie, meanwhile, fled on foot toward a hilly area.
Alfonso MPS has launched a manhunt operation to collar the suspect who will be charged for frustrated homicide.
