Woman found dead in Quezon forest

UNISAN, Quezon – The body of a woman was found in a forested area in Barangay Ibabang Bulo here on Sunday evening, March 16.

Police with the identity of the victim.

Investigation said the victim was instructed by her mother to remit their Small Town Lottery collection in Barangay Ibabang Panaon.

The victim failed to return home and a search was conducted until her body was found in a far-flung area in Barangay Ibabang Bulo.

Police are determining if the victim was raped as she had no underwear when she was discovered.

Meanwhile, a 32-year-old man allegedly suffering from mental illness was found dead with stab wounds in a rice field in Purok 7, Barangay Pahinga Norte, Candelaria, Quezon on Sunday morning, March 16.

Police said the victim’s was found by the rice field owner.

Lawmen are conducting follow-up investigation on both cases.
