'This is it pancit:' Malabon LGU eyes Guinness World Record for longest line of pancit bowls


The Malabon City government is aiming to set a Guinness World Record on March 21 by serving the longest line of Pancit Malabon dishes with a total of 6,000 servings.

The event will take place at the Malabon Sports Complex where the city hopes to surpass the current record of 3,988 serving bowls of Jinshi Beef and Rice Noodle Association in China since Dec. 21, 2019.


In preparation for the event, the local government has issued a traffic advisory and re-routing notice starting Friday, March 21, from 7 a.m. onwards. 


The following roads will be temporarily closed to motorists:

  • Rizal Avenue cor. Leono St.
  • Sacristia cor. C. Arellano
  • F. Sevilla Boulevard cor. Estrella St.


Alternative Routes:


Vehicles from C. Arellano St. heading to the market may take Gen. Luna Avenue, turn right to Rizal Avenue, turn left to Leono St., and then turn right to Estrella St. to reach the market.


Motorists from Tonsuya heading to the market may turn left to Leono St. and proceed straight to the market.


The city government urges motorists to use alternative routes and plan their travel accordingly.
