The Southern Police District (SPD) recorded the lowest index crime rate in the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) for the period of March 8 to 14.
The SPD logged a total of seven index crimes all of which were successfully solved.
The positive trend was further highlighted by the decreasing index crimes in SPD jurisdictions over the past two weeks.
The SPD said the downward trend aligns with the district’s focused effort to ensure public safety and maintain peace within the community due to effective law enforcement efforts, immediate police response, and strong community partnership.
It also attributed the success in the anti-crime campaign to intensified police presence, intelligence-driven operations, and strengthened collaboration with barangay officials and force multipliers.
SPD Director Brig. Gen. Manuel Abrugena said the district remains committed in its mission to maintain peace and order within its jurisdiction and assured the public of its continued commitment to safety and security.
Abrugena urged residents to remain watchful and to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or through official communication channels.
“This achievement is a manifestation of the dedication and hard work of our police officers, as well as the cooperation of the community. We will continue to support our mandate of ensuring a safe and secure environment for all,” Abrugena said.
