Future-proofing Matina, Davao City

In the midst of the densely populated residential area of Matina, where once stood the Davao City Golf Club, there is now rising a development that YHEST Realty and Development Corp. and CLI can proudly say is their first township mixed-use project, the Davao Global Township.

A BRIGHT NIGHT At the DGT Central Park

 

Two powerhouse companies, the YHEST Realty and Development Corp. and Cebu Landmasters Inc. (CLI) have joined forces to masterplan and manage a 22-hectare area in Davao City, located in the Matina district. In the midst of the densely populated residential area of Matina, where once stood the Davao City Golf Club, there is now rising a development that CLI can proudly say is their first township mixed-use project, the Davao Global Township. This was first announced in 2019, and it was rewarding to be in Davao, and witness first-hand the brisk progress of the development.

Fred Yuson, YHEST President, and CLI Chair Jose Soberano were on hand during the Saturday DGT event, ready to welcome the host of special guests who had flown in to Davao City for the occasion. Brother Bernie Oca FSC, De La Salle University president, was there to announce how the DGT Cultural Center would be home of the De La Salle University for Further and Continued Education, offering business and industry-specific certificate courses. And Ed Calma, who designed the DGT Cultural Center, spoke about how the structure would be a testament to sustainability, in both design and purpose.

On the same afternoon, the DGT Central Park was declared officially open, a recreational and lifestyle hub that boasts of a terraced section that acts like a natural amphitheater to the stage set up for performers. Overlooking this Central Park is a row of buildings that will be dedicated to stores, eating establishments, and offices. DGT is the future of Matina, Davao City; a YHEST and CLI property that provides an enthusiastic answer to how good life will be. Potential locators, stakeholders, and residents, have much to look forward to.
