The Eastern Police District (EPD) arrested a total of 179 individuals in a series of anti-crime and anti-illegal drugs operations from March 8 to 14.
The EPD, in its heightened campaign against wanted individuals, arrested 11 top most wanted persons, six most wanted, and other 41 individuals during manhunt operations.
Meanwhile, 61 drug personalities were apprehended and a total of 267.35 grams of shabu, 66.2 grams of marijuana, and P1,826,464.00 worth of drug paraphernalia were confiscated.
Other apprehensions were made in the EPD's anti-illegal gambling and loose firearms operations.
“Ang ating kapulisan ay patuloy ang pakikipaglaban at ginagampanan ang kanilang tungkulin na ipatupad ang batas para sa kaligtasan, kaayusan, at kapayapaan sa aming apat na lungsod (Our policemen have their sworn duties to implement the laws onr safety, order, and peace in our four cities),” EPD acting district director Col. Villamor Tuliao said.
“Saludo ako sa ating kapulisan dahil sa matagumpay na isang linggong operasyon na nagresulta sa pagkadakip ng mga taong lumabag sa batas. Ito’y sumasalamin na sa kabila ng kaliwa’t kanang problema ng ating lipunan ay nanatili kami sa aming hangarin na gampanan ang aming tungkulin ng may dedikasyon at integridad para sa bayan (I salute our police for their successful week-long operation which resulted in the arrest of law violators.
