DOLE to launch series of job fairs this March

DOLE chief allays fears of massive retrenchment in gov't over DBM's 'rightsizing' plan

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will hold job fairs across all regions this March that are expected to offer thousands of local and foreign employment opportunities for Filipino job seekers. 

DOLE Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma said the initiative aligns with the Marcos administration’s 8-Point Socioeconomic Agenda and supports key labor policies, including the Philippine Development Plan, the Philippine Labor and Employment Plan, and the Trabaho Para sa Bayan Plan.

Job fairs will be conducted in multiple locations nationwide, connecting employers with job seekers in Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

In the National Capital Region (NCR), job fairs are scheduled for Mar. 19 at Makati City Hall, Mar. 21 in Parañaque, Fairview Central Mall in Quezon City, and Barangay 183 in Pasay City.

Major events will follow on Mar. 26 at Robinsons Place Las Piñas and Makati City Hall, and on Mar. 28 at Robinsons Otis in Paco, SM City Sta. Mesa and the M.I.C.E. Center in Diliman, Quezon City.

Several provinces in Luzon will also host job fairs from Mar. 17 to 28, including Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Sur, Nueva Vizcaya, Bulacan, Pampanga, Zambales, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, and Albay.

In the Visayas, job fairs will be held in Negros Occidental, Aklan, Iloilo, Cebu, Negros Oriental, and Leyte, including the Moose Job Caravan at Tacloban City Convention Center on Mar. 28.

Mindanao will see a series of job fairs, including the PESO Zamboanga City Career Fair from Mar. 19 to 20, job fairs in Cagayan de Oro and Bukidnon, and the Araw ng Dabaw Job Fair on Mar. 21 at NCCC VP Mall in Davao City.

The nationwide series will conclude with the Women’s Month Celebration Job Fair in Dinagat Islands from Mar. 27 to 28.

Laguesma reaffirmed DOLE’s commitment to strengthening employment services through digital platforms such as PhilJobNet and the PESO Employment Information System, ensuring job seekers can easily access available opportunities.
