PSC to honor Filipina excellence at All-Women Sports Awards 2025

  • In celebration of National Women's Month, the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), through its Women in Sports (WIS) program, is set to recognize 140 outstanding Filipina athletes, coaches, and sports leaders at the 2025 All-Women Sports Awards. The prestigious event will take place on March 15, at 2:00 PM at the Century Park Hotel.

In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), through its Women in Sports (WIS) program, is set to recognize 140 outstanding Filipina athletes, coaches, and sports leaders at the 2025 All-Women Sports Awards. The prestigious event will take place on March 15, at 2:00 PM at the Century Park Hotel.

Held in collaboration with the Philippine Commission on Women, this event highlights the PSC’s commitment to gender inclusivity in sports. It will honor a diverse group of women who have made significant contributions to the industry, including the 2024 female Olympic delegates, top sports executives, pioneering female coaches, and women spearheading unique sports initiatives.

“This Awards Night is more than just a celebration; it’s a tribute to the progress we’ve made in women’s sports. We want to honor not only our athletes but also the coaches, sports executives, and individuals behind the scenes who work tirelessly to advance gender equality in sports,” said Commissioner Olivia G. Coo.

Among this year’s top honorees are Olympic bronze medalist Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas, both set to receive the prestigious "Athlete of the Year" award.

The 2025 All-Women Sports Awards is co-presented by Cynergy Artworks, OMG Memories, Katinko Sports Spray, Milo, Lacoste (Wrist Pod), Cel Logistics, Mad Events, Biore, Jergens, Namkwang Seaweed, Hot Dak Stir Fry Ramen, Sultana Biscuits, Bowling 300, and The Bowler (Grace and Abundance).

One of the primary goals of the WIS Awards is to foster inclusivity by recognizing Filipina athletes across different levels—from elite and para-athletes to Special Olympics competitors, youth athletes, and masters athletes.

“Commissioner Bong Coo’s initiative is truly inspiring because it promotes inclusivity. This event acknowledges athletes across all categories—elite, para-athletes, Special Olympics participants, and even masters athletes like myself,” said pole vault master athlete Judith Staples.
