Moovr, the BGC ride-sharing scooter, surpasses 1-million rides

Offsetting over 300,000-kg of carbon emissions in 2024

Moovr, the app-enabled bike and e-scooter sharing service you've seen around BGC, has achieved a significant milestone in 2024 by recording over 1-million rides and offsetting more than 300,000-kilograms of carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions. This is in line with the company’s commitment to promoting sustainable urban transportation.

Growing adoption of micromobility

As more individuals seek sustainable transport solutions, Moovr has seen a surge in ridership. In 2024 alone, the company welcomed approximately 250,000 new users.

This year, Moovr users collectively traveled 1,285,588 kilometers, resulting in an estimated reduction of 308,541-kilograms of CO₂ emissions. These figures highlight the tangible benefits of micromobility in alleviating traffic congestion and supporting sustainability efforts.

You may recognize its fleet of bikes and e-scooters operating in Bonifacio Global City (BGC). However, Moovr also operates in other urban areas and offers a practical alternative for commuters looking to avoid congestion and reduce their environmental impact. 

“These milestones are proof that sustainable mobility is a vision that we are slowly turning into a reality,” said Carlo Rombano, Vice President of Operations at Moovr. “Our goal has always been to offer safe, convenient, and eco-friendly micromobility services that improve urban living.”

Moovr's impact extends beyond mere ride statistics. By encouraging more residents to choose shared micromobility options, the company contributes to broader efforts in sustainable urban development. This initiative aligns with local goals of creating greener, more accessible cities.

With over 600,000 registered users, Moovr continues to grow its network, making bike and e-scooter sharing more accessible throughout Metro Manila. As demand for alternative transportation options increases, the company remains dedicated to its mission of providing eco-friendly mobility solutions. 

Moovr users can locate and rent bikes and e-scooters through the Moovr app, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
