In the drama, Park Eun-bin is Jung Se-ok, a great neurosurgeon who demonstrates unparalleled skill with a scalpel. Addicted to the operating room and obsessed with honing her abilities, she suddenly finds herself shunned by her mentor and stripped of her medical license after uncovering a shocking truth.
Undeterred, she continues her profession through back-alley operations for some of society’s least desirable individuals until her former mentor Choi Deok-hee (Sul Kyung-gu) comes to her for help.
In “Hyper Knife,” Jung Seok is torn between the chance to successfully carry out an impossible operation or exact her revenge on the man who stripped her of her future.
Viewers will see a different side of Park Eun-bin in “Hyper Knife.” Her character is brave and determined, letting Park Eun-bin demonstrate her great acting skills like what she showed in “Extraordinary Attorney Woo.”
Complementing Park Eun-bin in “Hyper Knife” is award-winning actor Sul Kyung-gu whose works include “Kingmaker,” “Hope,” “Voice of a Murderer,” ”The Merciless,” “Memoir of a Murderer” and “The Book of Fish.”
“Hyper Knife” also stars Yoon Chan-young of the zombie series “All of Us Are Dead” and Park Byung-eun as Han Hyun-ho of “Moving.”
The series is written by Kim Sunhee (“Quiz From God: Reboot”) and directed by Kim Junghyun (“After the Rain,” “My Fellow Citizens!”).
