Father arrested for raping 14-year-old daughter in Antipolo

A 35-year-old father was arrested for allegedly raping his 14-year-old daughter inside their house in Antipolo City, Rizal, in 2024.

Authorities identified the suspect as “Butchok.” He was arrested by the tracker team of Antipolo Component City Police Station on Tuesday, March 11, by virtue of a warrant issued by Antipolo Regional Trial Court Branch 73.

According to the investigation, the victim was reportedly on the way to school when the incident occurred.

“Nangyari 'yung unang panghahalay dito sa bata noong October 3, 2024 sa sarili mismo nilang bahay at nasundan ito ng October 4. Ngunit sa pagkakataon iyon, 'yung ating biktima… nang kaniyang maramdaman na gagawin ulit nitong ating akusado, agad niyang itinulak at lumabas itong ating biktima at humingi ng tulong (The first incident happened on October 3, 2024 inside their own home, followed by another on October 4. However, this time, when the victim sensed that the accused was about to do it again, the victim immediately pushed him away, ran outside, and sought help,” Antipolo CCPS duty officer Capt. Ricardo Asuncion Jr. explained during a media interview.

Upon learning of the incident, the victim's aunt immediately reported the suspect to the authorities.

Meanwhile, the suspect denied the rape allegations, claiming that he now has a new partner who takes care of his children since their mother, his former wife, is currently working abroad as an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW).

"Hindi ko po ginalaw 'yung bata. Wala po akong ginalaw doon. Hindi po ako ang nag-aasikaso 'yung bata, 'yung pangalawang asawa ko po ang nag-aasikaso, nagpapaligo, nagpapainit ng mainit na tubig. Ginigising na lang po ako pag maghahatid na sa school (I didn’t touch the child. I didn’t do anything. I’m not the one taking care of the child—it’s my second wife who looks after them. She’s the one who bathes them, prepares warm water, and takes care of their needs. I only get awakened when it’s time to take the child to school),” he said.

He further claimed that the child’s aunt allegedly made up the story just to gain access to the financial support sent by the child’s mother.

The suspect is currently detained at the Antipolo CCPS custodial facility and is facing charges of qualified rape and attempted qualified rape.
