Woman killed in Batangas fire

MABINI, Batangas - A woman was killed in a fire in Barangay San Juan here on Tuesday afternoon, March 11.

The victim was identified as Michelle Hernandez.

Hernandez was alone in her house when the fire struck.

Firemen discovered the victim's remains during mopping-up operations.

Arson investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fire.

Quezon fire

An eight-year-old pupil was killed when she was hit by a motorcycle in Barangay Maguiting, San Narciso, Quezon on Tuesday.

Police said the victim Princess was walking to school when Chris, 29, lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into her.

Princess was taken to the San Narciso Municipal Hospital where she was declared dead.

Chris and the family of Princess have settled the case.

Laguna murder

A man was shot dead on Tuesday in Sitio Majadain, Barangay Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna.

Police identified the victim as Don Carlos Romero David.

Investigation said the victim was in the area to settle a personal problem when an unidentified man appeared and shot him.

The suspect fled. The victim died on the spot.

Follow-up Investigation is ongoing.
