SM SUPERMALLS launches the SM Active Hub on Sunday, March 9, at Mall of Asia and simultaneously at SM malls nationwide, featuring 44 pickleball courts and 14 running hubs to create the country's largest sports experience. Run with Pat founder Patrick Rubin (from left), Toby’s Sports President Toby Claudio Jr., SM Supermalls President Steven Tan, SM Supermalls Executive Vice President for Marketing Jonjon San Agustin, RunRio founder Rio de la Cruz, and RunRio Inc.’s Nicole de la Cruz graced the festivities and encouraged Filipinos of all ages to have an active and healthy lifestyle.

The launch at MOA's Music Hall showcased the SM Active Hub's vision to revolutionize fitness and sports engagement nationwide. With 44 pickleball courts across 21 SM malls and 14 running hubs spanning the archipelago, the SM Active Hub boasts the nation's widest coverage, bringing accessible and top-tier sports experiences to every Filipino.

“At SM Supermalls, we’re committed to creating spaces where Filipinos thrive, and today, we launch SM Active Hub – the Philippines’ largest sports playground. Starting with pickleball and running, the hub offers tournaments, fun runs, sports training, and wellness workshops for all ages and skill levels,” said SM Supermalls President Steven Tan.

The launch event was a lively display of the hub’s offerings. Exhilarating pickleball exhibition matches highlighted the sport's growing popularity, while various partner-run clubs gathered, promoting a sense of community.

The SM Active Hub's impressive network of facilities includes running hubs at iconic locations like SM Mall of Asia, SM By the Bay, and SM Seaside City Cebu, among others. Pickleball enthusiasts can now enjoy the sport at home courts in SM North EDSA, SM Southmall, and various other SM malls nationwide.

Pickleball, a sport easily enjoyed by all ages, was a major highlight, with numerous players taking to the courts. The sheer scale of the 44 pickleball courts makes this the largest network of its kind in the country.

The nationwide coverage of the SM Active Hub, reaching from Tuguegarao to Davao, underscores SM Supermalls' commitment to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle across the Philippines.

This initiative is supported by leading brands such as Toby's Sports, Asics, Sports Central, Under Armour, Power Mac Center, Hydroaid, Daily Fix, But First, Coffee, and Taters, further emphasizing its significance.

This launch is just the beginning. SM Supermalls promises more venues and thrilling sports experiences to come, encouraging everyone to join the SM Active Hub community.
