OPPO enhances seamless integration and security with Google

OPPO has embraced AI.

OPPO is working closer with Google to bring Gemini Vertex — Google's AI development platform — to the core of its own three main areas of AI development: AI applications, AI models, and AI security.

OPPO has already began adopting Google's AI into their devices. Circle to Search is now woven into the ColorOS, to allow simple circling of images or texts to search more about them without switching apps. OPPO also likes to pre-install many things.  One of the more useful ones, Gemini, Google's AI, will come built-in from the box. Recent Gemini updates allows it to replace Google's virtual assistant, letting Gemini take action across other applications. 

OPPO boasts being one of the first smartphone manufacturers to implement Private Computing Cloud (PCC), which leverages Confidential Computing by Google Cloud for private AI data processing. According to OPPO, this approach guarantees that information from user devices and the cloud is handled in a confidential environment where neither OPPO nor third-party cloud service providers can access user data.  This offers users end-to-end security and peace of mind in an AI-driven world.

Starting with AI Recording Summary and AI Studio, OPPO will be using PCC to further enhance user productivity and creativity through powerful cloud-based AI processing without compromising its highest standards of security and privacy.

OPPO promises to bring in more Gemini features into their phones. This would include the Gemini Nano to enable features like Magic Compose on the Find X8 to help users generate messages.

One of the new AI features that OPPO and Google are preparing is AI Search, making it easier to search through your device, across Settings, Documents, and Notes. 

By fostering a deep, open ecosystem with partners like Google, OPPO is paving the way for the next generation of mobile AI. Packed with features, reliably secure, and constantly evolving, the role of OPPO AI is to be both everywhere and nowhere at once, quietly working in the background but always there ready to be called upon when needed.
