'Nahuli na rin ang berdugo': Trillanes reacts to Duterte's arrest

The executioner has finally been caught.

Former senator Antonio Trillanes IV wrote this celebratory message on Facebook Tuesday, March 11, the same day that his nemesis, former president Rodrigo Duterte was arrested in connection with his crimes against humanity charge before the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Trillanes, along with former Magdalo Party-list Rep. Gary Alejano, were among those who pursued the case against then-president Duterte before the ICC at The Hague, Netherlands in 2017.

"Nung 2017, nagfile ng kaso ang Magdalo sa ICC laban kay duterte. After 8 years, sa WAKAS, nahuli na rin ang berdugo," Trillanes said.

(In 2017, Magdalo filed a case against Duterte before ICC. After eight years, the executioner has finally been caught.)

"Sa lahat ng nakasama namin sa mahabang lakbay na ito para sa hustisya ng mga libu-libong EJK victims, maraming salamat po!" he added.

Trillanes is running for Caloocan City mayor in the upcoming May 12 elections.
