Man shot to death by friends in Tondo

Two men were arrested by the Manila Police District (MPD) after they shot to death their friend in Barangay 128 in Tondo, Manila, on Tuesday, March 11.

Police said the victim, 36, was reportedly fixing his motorcycle near his house when the incident occurred on Sunday, March 9.

Based on the investigation, the two suspects, who were onboard a motorcycle, suddenly stopped and shot the victim in the head while he was facing away from them.

The victim's live-in partner said they tried to rush him to the hospital but he was declared dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, the MPD immediately conducted a follow-up operation which led to the arrest of the suspects along Honorio Lopez Blvd.

Investigators reported that the alleged gunmen were friends of the victim.

They also said that the victim had previously been imprisoned for a drug-related offense.

The MPD said the suspects are now under police custody and will be charged for murder.
