
A fire broke out inside a four-storey residential building at Pat Antonio Street, Sta. Mesa, Manila, on Wednesday, March 12, affecting 46 houses and displacing around 100 families.
The fire, which reportedly started on the third floor, was reported at 10:48 a.m.
The first alarm was raised at 10:56 a.m., followed by the second alarm at 11:02 a.m. and the third alarm at 11:15 a.m.
Motorists were advised to avoid Bacood Street to allow fire trucks access to the area.
The fire was declared under control at 12:20 p.m. and was fully extinguished by 2:40 p.m.
No injuries or fatalities were reported, but the property damage is estimated at P50,000.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
The displaced families are being provided temporary shelter and assistance by local authorities.
