Jealousy triggers husband to kill ex-wife with 37 stab wounds in Las Piñas

Jealousy drove the former husband of a public school teacher to stab her to death inside a school faculty room on Monday, March 10, in Las Piñas City.

 

Las Piñas City Police Chief Col. Sandro Tafalla identified the victim as alias “Rose,” 51, a teacher at Lydia Aguilar National High School, Camia St.,  TS Cruz Subdivision, Almanza Dos, Las Piñas City.

 

Tafalla said Rose suffered 37 stab wounds all over her body and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Alabang Medical Hospital.

 

He said the suspect, identified as alias Dennis, 38, of Bacoor Cavite, was immediately arrested by responding policemen.

 

The city police chief said the victim was inside the faculty room of the school together with her co-teachers when the suspect arrived and attacked her.

 

Tafalla said that based on the investigation, the victim and the suspect were living together as husband and wife for 13 years. They did not have any children and were separated already for one year now.

 

He said the suspect was detained at the Las Piñas City police custodial facility and was charged with parricide.
