Imee shocked by Duterte arrest

TACLOBAN CITY – Reelectionist Sen. Imee Marcos turned emotional after President Rodrigo Duterte was arrested on Tuesday, March 11.

The senator said she was shocked when she learned that Duterte was apprehended while she was on her way to Palompon, Leyte.

“Kawawa naman si Presidente Duterte...Ang akin kasi, hindi na tayo natuto. Gulo lang ang dulot nito,” she lamented.

(I pity President Duterte. We have not learned. This will only result in chaos)

Marcos recalled their experience during the EDSA People Power Revolution in 1986 when her family was overthrown after many years in power.
