At the continuation of the Senate subcommittee on justice and human rights, Hontiveros said Li is an incorporator of New Oriental Club 88 Corp., which is considered as the biggest POGO service provider that was closed down in 2019.

Li’z naturalization as a Filipino citizen is now awaiting President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s approval after Congress approved the measure that seeks to grant him Filipino citizenship.

According to Hontiveros, New Oriental Club 88 Corporation amended its articles of incorporation in 2020 to be able to operate as a “Special Class of BPO” (business process outsourcing) that will serve as a service provider for offshore online gaming.

“This company of Li Duan Wang is still operational as of last year,” Hontiveros said.

“We saw earlier that he is one of the incorporators, and just in August 2024, their Articles of Incorporation were amended again to extend their corporate term and existence," Hontiveros further argued.

“We find it offensive that Li Duan Wang concealed all those from Congress,” she added.
