2 buses collide in Quezon; 1 dead, 3 injured

SARIAYA, Quezon – A 39-year-old woman was killed and three others were injured in a head-on collision between two buses before dawn on Monday, March 10, in Barangay Castañas here.

Police identified the victim as Ria, who died on the spot.

Investigation said a JAC Liner bus driven by Julius, 39, attempted to overtake a tricycle but swerved and collided with an Alps Bus Liner driven by Jojo, 37.

Injured were Gem, 26; Jan, 28, and Kim, 34.

The four victims were passengers of Alps Bus Liner and JAC Liner.

The injured were taken to hospitals in Lucena City, Quezon.
