Trapped PWD dies inside burning home in San Mateo

A person with disability (PWD) died after being trapped in his burning house in Marvi Hills, Brgy. Gulod, San Mateo, Rizal on Saturday, March 8.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) San Mateo, the fire started at the victim's room on the first floor of the house at around 4:30 a.m.

The victim was suffering from severe autism, according to a relative.

The fire was declared under control at 5:22 a.m.

Arson investigators are still determining the cause of the fire and amount of damage to property. (Vincent Brian Gutierrez)
