Police arrest tricycle thief in Antipolo

A man who allegedly stole a tricycle with the help of his brother was arrested in Barangay Cupang, Antipolo, Rizal on Sunday, March 9.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) said the suspect, identified as "Mark," 32, was nabbed with the assistance of Barangay Police Safety and Order (BPSO) officers. His brother and cohort "Joshua" escaped during the operation.

The victim said he discovered on March 8 that his parked tricycle had been stolen, prompting him to report the incident to the authorities.

A police operation against the siblings was immediately launched after witnesses positively identified them as the suspects.

The authorities are still tracking Joshua and the stolen tricycle.

During his inquest, the police discovered that Mark has a case of carnapping committed on Jan. 9.

He is currently detained at the police custodial facility. (Vincent Brian Gutierrez)
