Iloilo vlogger sets himself on fire to make viral video

ILOILO CITY — A vlogger suffered major burns after setting himself on fire to make a viral video and gain online fame.

The man known as “Boy Negro” of Calinog town, Iloilo province is shown holding two transparent plastic cups filled with gasoline.

“Sa mga bata diyan, huwag niyo gayahin ginagawa ni Boy Negro. Mga content creator lang gumagawa (To the kids out there, don’t follow what Boy Negro is doing. Only content creators do this),” the vlogger warned.

The vlogger then drank the gasoline, doused himself with gasoline, and lit imself on fire with the help of someone off-camera holding a tree branch.

The 44-second video ended with the vlogger falling into what seems to be small hole.

The video appeared to have been uploaded last Sunday, March 9.

By Monday, the vlogger posted photos of his burn injuries and asked his followers for financial help to pay for his medical bills at the hospital.

In previous videos, the vlogger has taken other challenges. He drank bleach, ate laundry detergent, ate worms, among others.
