The beauty and music scene collided in the most unexpected way at local Gen Z beauty brand, Careline’s #LipCurrents event, where Denise Julia and Drag Race Philippines Season 3 star Khianna (with a K) shared the stage in a dazzling, impromptu moment that left the audience in awe.
The two-day launch event for Careline’s newest Lip Drip Tinted Lip Oil range was already set to be a spectacle, with Denise Julia as the face of the campaign. The first day was an exclusive gathering for influencers and media friends, but the second day brought the excitement to the public, complete with major performances that turned the beauty launch into a full-fledged concert experience!

Khianna’s show-stopping performances
Khianna kicked off the performances with a dynamic lip-sync and dance set, slaying Britney Spears’ "Womanizer" and "I’m a Slave 4 U." Between sets, she had a quick chat with Careline’s Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, Denice Sy, where she shared her must-haves from the brand.
“If you guys know me, I am very known for my graph-ink lines, my detailed eyes, and I always use Careline,” she also created her own tagline for the brand, “because we care for your line!”
Aside from the Careline Graph-Ink Liner, Khianna revealed that “I also love the blush… at ang bagong product ni [Careline] ngayon… it’s shadeless that I use as a topper,” the Careline Lip Drip in the shade ‘Glazed’.
For her final number, "Abracadabra" by Lady Gaga, Khianna re-emerged in a striking red ensemble reminiscent of Gaga’s iconic look in the music video. A true feast for the eyes!

A moment of mutual admiration
As the energy in the room soared, Denise Julia surprised the audience by joining Khianna on stage for a heartwarming moment. The Gen Z R&B star who was actually watching from the side confessed, “I’m a huge fan!” Not to be outdone, Khianna expressed her admiration right back, opting to sit with the audience and fully take in Denise Julia’s highly anticipated set.

Denise Julia serenades Khianna
Denise Julia then took the stage for a soulful two-song set, performing "Bad" and "Twin Flames." In a moment that had everyone swooning, she walked over to Khianna mid-performance, serenading her with "Twin Flames," the unexpected chemistry between the two had the crowd buzzing with excitement, proving that this was the collab we never saw coming, but absolutely needed!
Turns out, Careline’s Lip Drip Lip Currents launch wasn’t just about the latest must-have lip oil. It was a celebration of artistry, self-expression and the power of Gen Z icons supporting each other! Whether in music, makeup, or sheer presence, Denise Julia and Khianna proved that when beauty and talent collide, you can really feel the surge!
